🫎 Audi Q7 Not Starting After Battery Change
EPC light in Audi along with Check Engine. If you see both, EPC and Check Engine light on, the trouble is more likely to have occurred with engine sensors. It may be a throttle sensor or the temperature sensor. In this case, the engine electronics is likely to cut the power and maximum RPM, so the computer will hold down the engine and you will
I have an Audi Q7 3.0TDi Quattro S-Line on a 56 plate and have a battery drain issue. Car battery is fine during the day and charges up to 100% but when left idle either over night or during the day, the battery drains down as low as 10%.
The q7 should tell you when the battery in the key needs changing but if it doesn't this Is the first thing I'd change. I believe it's the key as clearly the car is starting ok when the key is put in the ignition and the door locking system is working. The key should not need reprogramming after the key battery is replaced. Hope iv helped cheers
The battery in the remote/ key doesn't power the immobilizer. The key comes in two pieces . Top part is remote with battery. Lower half is key with RFID chip (no battery). They are not electrically connected. The remote is just a remote. I have 3 keys for my TT. One of them is a master key with no remote and thus no battery. Car works fine.
jakematic. First thing I would do is recode BMM so that it knows a new battery has been installed. If it's not a serialized battery, choose one of similar spec and increase the existing serial # by 1. Use this hidden menu at your own risk. Press and hold Car and Setup simultaneously to access hidden menu.
2007 B7 S4 6MT. For about the past year and some change, I've been having a battery drain issue associated with the radio. If the car sits for roughly 12-24 hours, it is almost dead (does not have enough cold cranking amps), or is completely dead, and needs to be jumped. A little backstory-.
First, turn on the car using the start/stop engine button. While the car is turned on, locate the volume control on the right. Press in the volume control and then hold it down for 15 seconds. After holding the volume control for 15 seconds the screen message will disappear and then reappear.

Varta G14 type 019 for £180 next day. Or. Hanko battery which says is same spec quality as G14 and listed £140 delivered. (Not sure if this has BEM code) So it's just getting it coded, can imagine Audi would want £300 plus for complete job and have looked on RAC website which appear not to offer battery replacement for Q7.
I would wait several hours before checking it or try to get rid of the surface charge by turning on the lights on for a few minutes when the engine is off, turn them off, shut the doors for several mins (no load, no lights on, MMI fully shut down) and then check it. Then check it again in the morning before you get in the car.
The Audi battery management system is a PITA. I replaced one myself 1.5 years ago and used a VAGCOM to reprogram the model/serial #. 12 months later, it was acting funny - sounding almost dead. Dealer said battery was fine but the management system needed reprogramming and to do that, it needed a fresh battery.
This was with the old battery. Once the new one went in, the resting voltage with the car off was not low 12s and more and is now low-mid 13s which is much better. Problem is I am still seeing 15.1V or so on the battery while charging (with the new one). I know regular alternators like to live around 14.4-14.7 or so.
Given some recent changes in Audi vehicles, today we want consolidate what we know about getting into and starting keyless start Audi sedans and SUVs with de
Buy the Right Battery for Your Audi Q7. Sadly, your Audi Q7 won't last forever. Neither will its battery. The average car battery lasts three to five years. You want to replace your 2019 Audi Q7 battery before it fails and leaves you stranded. Look out for symptoms of a faulty car battery. A lagging starter, a blinking battery or check engine
Engine Cranks But Won't Start. Vehicle is a 2011 Q7 Prestige S-Line 3.0 TFSI with 80,000 miles. As the title states the engine will crank for 5 seconds or so, wont start, then just quits trying. After 2 or 3 attempts, it will eventually start, sometimes with the assistance of a tap of the throttle. Dealer says the problem is a drained battery.
